COVID-19 Updates

**UPDATE** October 12th
In order to meet the requirements set forth by Governor Brown our building is still closed to the public. To help with the increased volume of patients needing to be seen we are extending our hours MWF until 7pm. The rainy season is upon us! Please plan accordingly to make your curbside service more comfortable.

**UPDATE** August 19th
Currently we are scheduling patients out farther into the future than normal. We are still accepting new clients and patients, and we remain committed to taking care of as many patients as we can each day. Our patients' health is our top priority so we continue to triage our work load as best as we can in order to get the more urgent cases in to see us as timely as possible. We appreciate your understanding if we are not able to schedule you an appointment as early as you would like.

**UPDATE** May 6th
Effective May 1st Governor Brown has lifted the ban on non-emergent procedures. We are now scheduling spays, neuters and routine dentals!

**UPDATE** March 24th
Due to the recent changes regarding COVID-19 we are no longer making curbside appointments optional. When coming in for your appointment please follow the guidelines outlined below.

**UPDATE** March 20th
As ordered by Governor Kate Brown all NON emergency procedures requiring the use of surgical gowns, gloves and masks have been ceased until June 15th. As a result we will no longer be scheduling elective surgical procedures at this time. In addition to help reinforce social distancing we will not be taking appointments for routine elective vaccines and checkups. If your animal is sick or injured and requires medical attention please call and schedule an appointment!

**UPDATE** March 19th
Governor Kate Brown has issued an order to preserve all surgical gowns, masks and gloves. As a result all non emergency related surgical procedures must cease. We will be doing everything we can to contact already scheduled procedures to be rescheduled. Thank you for your understanding!

March 16th
As a community we have banned together to help decrease the possible exposure and/or spread of COVID-19. Our staff is abiding by precautionary methods outlined by the CDC. Because social distancing is the greatest defense against the spread of COVID-19, Reid Veterinary Hospital is now offering curbside appointments. We understand that even during this crisis our furry friends are still in need of medical attention. If you choose the curbside option, please let the receptionist know when scheduling your appointment.

This is the typical curbside appointment protocol:

Upon arrival to your appointment, please call the front office from your vehicle to let us know you have arrived.
A veterinary assistant will retrieve your pet from the vehicle. Please let the assistant know any additional questions/concerns you may have regarding your pets appointment
Our veterinarian will perform your pets examination and requested procedures in-hospital
Upon completion of exam, the assistant will deliver your pet back to your car. The assistant will give details of the exam and inform you of any veterinary recommendations.
The receptionist will then walk your invoice out to the car and take your preferred method of payment.
